The R238 was closed following a collision between two vehicles in Moville yesterday afternoon.
Gardai are investigating a hit-and-run crash in Moville yesterday afternoon after two people were hospitalised.
The collision, involving two cars, occurred on the R238 Malin Road at approximately 3:15pm, near the Applegreen service station in the town.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene, where the two occupants of one of the vehicles were assessed before being transported to the hospital as a precaution following the impact.
The driver of the other car failed to remain at the scene, and Gardaí have confirmed that investigations are ongoing into the hit-and-run incident.
Separately, just hours later, Gardaí were again called to another road traffic incident in the area after a truck ran into difficulty at Noone’s Bridge on the Moville-Gleneely road, which occurred shortly after 6pm.
No injuries were reported from the single-vehicle incident.
The road was closed overnight to allow for the removal of the truck and has since reopened this morning.
