Arrest warrant issued in Derry for man who failed to appear for sentencing

A man who was due to be sentenced in Derry Crown Court today on charges of wounding and witness intimidation has hadn't arrest warrant issued for him after he failed to turn up.

David Baranowski (34) of Killymallaght Road in Cullion outside Derry was due to be sentenced on a charge of wounding a man on May 13 2023.

He was also going to be sentenced for a charge of witness intimidation on April 18 2024 in that he drove alongside a witness and shouted at him and made gestures.

When the case was called today at the Crown Court Baranowski failed to appear and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
