Dr Mukesh Chugh was presented with the National Award for Outstanding Contributions to Equality and Diversity
Dr. Mukesh Chugh, a highly respected Consultant Anaesthetist based in Derry, has been honoured with a prestigious national award at the recent British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (BAPIO) Annual Conference in London.
The three-day conference, held from November 28 to 30, celebrated excellence and leadership across the UK’s medical community and featured representatives from multiple Royal Colleges, the British Medical Association (BMA), and the General Medical Council (GMC).

As part of a national honours ceremony, Dr. Chugh was presented with the National Award for Outstanding Contributions to Equality and Diversity. This accolade specifically recognises individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, advocacy, and a profound impact in promoting fairness and inclusion within the healthcare sector.
