A man charged with stealing a vibrator, underwear and clothing during a burglary will contest the charges against him in January. 

Caolan Maguire (26) of Farland Way in Derry is charged with burglary and criminal damage on a date between September 4 2022 and October 12 2022.

At today's hearing District Judge Ted Magill said that in his opinion domestic burglaries should be sentenced to the Crown Court

Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley said that his client was denying the offences and asked for a date to be fixed for contest. 

A date was fixed for January 6 for the contest to take place.
