John Paul Barrett (42)  whose address was given as Ballymoneen Road in Galway faces charges of burglary and grievous bodily harm dating back to 2021.

Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott said that his client had served four years in prison in the South and had been extradited at the weekend.

He said Barrett had consented to the extradition and asked for a short adjournment for a bail application to be made.
