Kevin Doherty (50) of Elaghmore Park in Derry and Amy Roberts (39) of Fern Park in Derry appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court.

Roberts faced two charges of evading custom duty and one of evading VAT.
It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.
Both chose not to submit any statements and not to call any witnesses.
They were returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on December 15 and released on bail.
