Progressive Politics NI (PPNI) will host its first-ever Charter launch at The Playhouse in Derry on Sunday, November 9 at 2.00pm.
The event offers a chance for the group to share its vision and values with the wider public, and to begin conversations about building a fairer, more inclusive Northern Ireland.
The Charter launch will feature a panel discussion with prominent voices in activism, journalism, and community organising, including: Goretti Horgan (socialist activist and university lecturer), Cllr Shaun Harkin (People Before Profit), Garrett Hargan (journalist with the Belfast Telegraph) and Mary Horgan McGuiggan (activist with The Gathering).
The event will also feature live music from acclaimed singer-songwriter Conor O’Kane, offering a unique blend of political dialogue and cultural expression.
PPNI aims to challenge establishment and sectarian divisions by promoting equality, social justice, human rights, and a fair quality of life for all. The Charter being launched outlines the group’s core values and a vision for transformative change.

A PPNI organiser said: "We’re excited to bring our first Charter Launch to Derry, a city that knows the value of solidarity and grassroots action. This event is about bringing people together to imagine what a fairer, more progressive Northern Ireland could look like.”
Admission is free, and the public are warmly invited to attend. Tickets can be booked on Eventbrite by scanning the QR code on the event poster or by visiting PPNI’s social media pages.
