The Western Health and Social Care Trust (Western Trust) North West Cancer Centre (NWCC), Altnagelvin Hospital gratefully acknowledges a very generous donation of £2,120 from Claire Montgomery from Derry.
Claire raised the money by running the Waterside Half marathon (her first) on Sunday, September 7 2025 in honour of her Dad, Norman Rosborough who is a patient at NWCC.
Even though Claire had suffered from a knee injury just before the half marathon, Claire completed the marathon in a respectable time. Well done Claire!
Claire’s proud dad Norman said: “I am so grateful to the NWCC for their outstanding professionalism. I have been a patient on three separate occasions over the past nine months and have received the highest level of care which, I’m certain saved my life.
"I am very proud of my daughter Claire for her fundraising efforts and completing her first half marathon in appreciation and thanks for the care I have received. I want to thank everyone who sponsored Claire including friends, family and colleagues.”
