Probation for Derry man who breached non-molestation order

A man has appeared at Derry Magistrates Court charged with breaching a non-molestation order.

Emmet Mullan (36) of John Street in Derry was charged with the offences on May 20 this year his former partner told police that he had uploaded videos to TikTok that had seemingly been about her.

Mullan admitted to posting the videos but said they were simply to 'set the record straight'.

District Judge Ted Magill said that breaching a non-molestation order was a 'serious matter' but added that the videos uploaded contained 'nothing nasty or threatening'.

He sentenced him to eighteen months probation and put an eighteen month restraining order in place.
