Emergency services deal with fire at derelict Faughan Valley High School premises

The Drumahoe Road, in Drumahoe is closed at the junctions with the Glenshane Road and the Fincairn Road due to a fire at derelict Faughan Valley High School premises this morning, Saturday 31st May.

Local residents are advised to keep windows closed at this time.

There have been over 10 incidents at the site since 2021.

Faughan Valley High School amalgamated with Clondermot High School in 2004 to form Lisneal College.

The former school is owned by the EA, which in 2023 deemed it surplus to requirements and started a process to dispose of the site.
