Derry man released on bail on firearm charge

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on an imitation firearm charge.

Adam Geddis (33) of Melrose Terrace in Derry appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court.

He faces one charge of possessing an imitation firearm on June 30 2023 with intent to make others believe violence could be used.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

Geddis said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on June 18 and released on bail.
