District Support Team officers from Derry City & Strabane stopped a driver in the city last night (15 May) just before 9.00pm, in the Buncrana Road area.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Following police checks, the driver was shown to be disqualified from driving. A report will be submitted to the Public Prosecution Service for driving while disqualified and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
"Police take this opportunity to remind motorists that officers will continue to work to make sure every vehicle on our roads is driven by an insured, licensed driver and appeal to drivers is help keep our roads safe and avoid the ‘fatal five’ – don’t drink or take drugs and drive; slow down; don’t be careless; always wear your seat belt and never use your mobile phone while driving."
