Man punched and knocked unconscious in Derry assault

Police are investigating an assault on Orchard Street on Sunday night.

Police investigating an assault in the city centre area of Derry on Sunday night (May 4) are appealing for witnesses. 

The man was walking on Orchard Street at around 10.30pm when a male who was with a number of other people punched him, knocking him unconscious. The victim sustained facial injuries.
