Woman returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on wounding charge

A woman has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a wounding charge.

Lauren O'Donnell (26) of Central Drive in Derry appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at the local Magistrates' Court today. 

She faces one charge of unlawfully and maliciously wounding a man with intent to do him grievous bodily harm on December 10 2022.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

O'Donnell said she did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.

She was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on June 4 and released on continuing bail.
