Gardaí are investigating a frightening incident of dangerous driving in Bridgend over the weekend.

The incident is believed to have occurred shortly before 9pm on Saturday, May 3 in the Bridgend area. The vehicle involved was a silver Lexus, the guards have confirmed.

Gardai are appealing to any motorists who were in the area at the time and who observed the vehicle involved and the manner of driving to make contact with them in Buncrana on 07493 20540.

“If anyone was in that area with a dashcam between 8pm and 10pm, we ask them to make the footage available to investigating Gardaí,” they said.

They added: “We urge the public to always report any instances of poor driver behaviour that they witness to Gardaí, especially when the manner of driving is considered dangerous. You may do so by contacting a Garda Station of your choice or by making a report via the Traffic Watch online reporting form. In an emergency situation, members of the public should always call 999/112.”
