The scene of the incident in Derry's Harvey Street last August
Derry Magistrate's Court heard today that there would be a delay in the case involving a local man charged with the murder of a woman in August last year.
Ciaran Murray (29) of Gortfoyle Place in Derry is charged with the murder of Montserrat Elias on August 24 last year.
He is also charged with rape and arson on the same date after Ms Ella's's body was found in a burning house in Harvey Street.
Murray did not appear today but when his case was mentioned a prosecutor told the court that the senior investigating officer and the deputy investigating officer had been changed.
She said the new investigating officers would need some time to catch up on the files in the case and asked for a three week adjournment.
