£250,000 fraud case involving Donegal woman adjourned at Derry Magistrate's Court

Derry Magistrates' Court

A man who engaged in 'very unpleasant behaviour' in his own street on two occasions has been jailed at Derry Magistrates' Court.
Anthony Martin Bradley (49) of Barnwell Place in Derry admitted disorderly behaviour on two different dates as well as assault on police and on a neighbour.
The court heard that on April 4 police were called to a report of a man lying in the middle of the road in Barnwell Place.
When police arrived they saw Bradley standing in the road before he fell down.
Bradley was using 'foul language' towards police and neighbours and persisted despite being warned repeatedly.
He was escorted to his address but continued to be abusive and was arrested.
While in the police vehicle he 'kicked out at the driver' hitting him on the arm.
The court was then told about another incident on April 5 when police were called after a man was going around banging doors and shouting abuse again in Barnwell Place.
They were told Bradley had been making 'racial slurs' and annoying people in the street and had pushed one person.
Defence counsel Michael Donaghy said his client had little recollection of the incidents which he said had been 'unpleasant' as he was intoxicated and had not been taking his medication.
Deputy District Judge Brian Archer told Bradley that he could send him to prison for six months for the 'ridiculous' way he had behaved towards police and his neighbours.
Bradley was jailed for one month and a restraining order was imposed for a period of 12 months.
