Minute silence observed at Derry Crown Court in memory of Daniel Mullan

The late Daniel Mullan

A one minute silence was observed at the Crown Court in Derry this morning following the sudden death eleven days ago of local barrister Daniel Mullan.
Judge Neil Rafferty KC said Mr Mullan, who lived with his partner and their child at Good Shepherd Glen in the Waterside area of the city and who was originally from Dungiven, was a gifted advocate on behalf of his clients.
Judge Rafferty said Mr Mullan was a kind, decent and dedicated practitioner who was a credit to his family.
"He will be missed by his siblings and by his family circle. My sympathy goes out to his partner Amber and son Jasper. Daniel's passing was both untimely and unfair," |Judge Rafferty added.
Following a minute's silence the court was adjourned for fifteen minutes as a mark of respect.
