41-year-old man charged following Derry road safety operation

Police in Derry have charged a man following a road safety operation on Wednesday, April 16.

Officers from Derry City & Strabane District Support Team were conducting Operation Lifesaver patrols in the city on Wednesday evening.

The 41-year-old man has been charged with being concerned in supply of a Class B Controlled drug, driving when unfit through drink or drugs, excess speed, Importation of a Class B controlled  drug namely Cannabis, possession of a Class B controlled drug and possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

He is due to appear at Derry Magistrates Court on Wednesday, May 14. As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
