Man returned to Derry Crown Court on drug charges released on bail

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug charges. 

Cody Neely (21) of Kinsale Park in Derry appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court

He was charged with attempted possession of cocaine with intent to supply on August 8 2024.

He was also charged with a similar offence involving cannabis on August 27 2024.

Neely was also charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis on dates between May 1 and August 27 2024.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

Neely said he did not wish to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage. 

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on May 7 and released on bail.
