Derry man charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm remanded

A man has been remanded in custody at Derry Magistrates' Court charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Connlan Boyle (20) of Carrabane Walk in Derry faced four charges including grievous bodily harm and assault on a male and a female that were said to have occurred on March 19. 

A police officer connected the accused to the charges and said the incident had been captured on CCTV. 

Defence Barrister Stephen Chapman said that there would be no application for bail at the moment and the police officer said it wouls be a contested application. 

Boyle was remanded in custody and the case was adjourned until March 25.
