41-year-old County Tyrone man pleas not guilty to robbery and falsely imprisonment

A forty-one years old man from Co. Tyrone is to go on trial at the Crown Court after he pleaded not guilty to robbing and falsely imprisoning a man in the Waterside area of the city last year.

At his arraignment before Judge Neil Rafferty KC, Christopher Stevenson, whose address was given at Dunowen Park in Clady, replied not guilty to a charge that he robbed a man of a bank card and tobacco on January 4, 2024.

He also pleaded not guilty to falsely imprisoning the same man and assaulting him with intent to rob him.

The  defendant additionally pleaded not guilty to assaulting the complainant with intent to rob him.

The case was adjourned until April 9 to allow for the preparation of a medical report and the defendant was released on continuing bail until then.
