County Derry man pleads guilty to number of drugs charges

A man has appeared at Derry Crown Court on a number of drug charges.

Liam Rainey (30) of Church Place in Kilrea, County Derry pleaded guilty to charges including possession of a number of Class B drugs and being concerned in the supply of the same drugs between December 2023 and January 2024.

Rainey was released on continuing bail but Judge Rafferty told him that the fact that he was not currently in custody did not mean that he will not be getting a custodial sentence.

A pre-sentence report was requested and he will appear for sentencing on May 7.
