Derry Magistrates' Court
A man has appeared at Derry Magistrates' Court following a breach of bail conditions.
Laurence Moore (46) of Rockmills in Derry was on bail for domestic offences and had been granted bail on the condition that he have no contact with the alleged injured party.
On February 13, he was remanded in custody following a breach of this condition but was subsequently granted High Court bail on the same conditions.
On March 2, police received a call from the injured party's daughter saying that she was concerned for her mother's safety.
Police attended Moore's residence and found the injured party there with him, arresting him for the breach.
Police objected to bail as they believe he is at risk of interfering with the course of justice.
Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley said that Moore denied the initial charges of assault but added that he still should have reported to authorities when the injured party made contact.
Deputy District Judge Noel Dunlop granted bail, telling Moore that this was his 'final chance'.
He will appear again on March 13.
