Man charged with sexual assault returned for trial to Derry Crown Court

Derry Crown Court

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a sexual assault charge.

Jack Zammitt (20) of Victoria Court in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrates' Court. 

He was charged with sexually assaulting a female on September 7, 2024.

He was also charged with assaulting the same female on the same date, exposure and possession of pregabalin. 

It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

Zammitt said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage. 

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on March 27 and released on bail.
