County Derry man charged with a series of domestic offences against his mother

A man has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court charged with a series of domestic offences against his mother.

Clayton Morrow (26) of Killowen Drive in Magherafelt appeared charged with committing a lewd act in front of his mother on February 17.

He was also charged with criminal damage to a carpet on the same date and a charge of assault on a female and false imprisonment again on February 17.

Morrow was further charged with assaulting a police officer on February 18.

The defendant aced two charges of domestic abuse behaviour on dates on January this year and July last year.

A police officer connected the accused to the charges and told thecourt bail would not be opposed as long as the defendant stayed out of Magherafelt and had an address approved by the PSNI.

He told the court that Morrow had never been on bail so 'had no chance to prove himself'.

Morrow wasreleased on bail to an address approved by PSNI, not to enter Magherafelt and to have no contact with the alleged victim in the case.

Morrow will appear again on March 12.
