Derry Magistrate's Court
A man has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court charged with harassment and breaching a non-molestation order.
Daryl O'Donnell (45) of Belvedere Park in Derry was charged with the offences that were said to have occurred between February 6-16.
Police were called by O'Donnell's former partner on February 16 after O'Donnell was said to have been attempting to make contact with her via a number of different mediums, in breach of a non-molestation order that had been set on January 22.
The court heard that O'Donnell had also sent flowers to his former partner's place of work and had attempted to make contact via a new phone number after his own number had been blocked.
Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott said that O'Donnell had accepted the offences and pleaded guilty to the charges, adding that the offences were something that 'wouldn't have been an issue' in a time before mobile phones and social media.

He said that the defendant now accepted that the relationship was over.
Bail was granted and he will appear again on February 26.
