Boyd's neighbour had called the police after discovering that her front door had been vandalized with the words 'F You' and 'Scum' painted on them and police found a spray tin of paint in Boyd's residence.

Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley said that Boyd had made 'full admissions' to the offences but later went and cleaned it off.
He said it had been a neighbour dispute but there were no further incidents.

District Judge Oonagh Mullan said that the incident 'would've been a very frightening experience' for the injured party sentencing Boyd to four months in custody, suspended for one year.
