Appeal to owners of vehicles seen close to fatal Donegal crash to come forward

Gardaí investigating a fatal road traffic collision at Liscooley last November that killed three people have appealed to the owners of two cars which were in a nearby filling station around the time of the crash to come forward.

The collision involving two vehicles occurred on the N15 on November 22 last year at approximately 10pm.

Samuel Hunter, aged in his 70s, of Murlog, Lifford, died in Letterkenny University Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. Mr Hunter’s wife was seriously injured in the collision. Castlederg men Ryan Glenn (25) and Gordy Galbraith (38) died at the scene.

Gardaí want to identify the owners of two vehicles which were in a nearby filling station around the time of the collision, as they may have valuable information to share. Neither vehicle was involved in the collision.

The two vehicles were in the forecourt of the filling station located approximately 100 metres from where the collision occurred.

One vehicle, believed to be a dark Skoda or Audi estate, exited the filling station and turned left towards Castlefinn. The second vehicle, a dark SUV, possibly a Toyota, left the filling station soon after.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward and are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, who were travelling in the area of the N15 at Liscooley at approximately 10.00pm to make this footage available.
