A new project to enhance bus shelters in the Galliagh area of Derry with designs featuring local history and heritage.
Sinn Féin councillor Sandra Duffy said: “This is really a positive development for the enhancement of a number of bus shelters in the greater Galliagh area.
“Its great to see the work that has gone on with local artist Joe Campbell, On the Street Youth and an older men’s group (via Greater Shantallow Community Arts) being able to complete a set of designs based on local history and heritage.
“The designs were finished just over a year ago and were on display in the foyer of the new Galliagh Community Centre for a number of months.
“I hope that this project can be replicated in other areas in the times ahead and congratulate everyone involved in helping to brighten up and bring art into our communities."
