Derry man charged with series of drug offences remanded in custody

A man has been remanded in custody at Derry Magistrates' Court after he appeared charged with a series of drug offences. 

Michael Cassidy (34) of Grianan Park in Derry appeared charged with possessing cocaine and cannabis on January 17.

He was also charged with possessing criminal property on the same date as well as a charge of being concerned in an offer to supply cocaine on dates between November 1, 2024 and January 17, 2025.

Cassidy was also in breach of bail for other drug charges. 

A defence barrister told the court there would be no bail application at this stage.

Cassidy was remanded in custody to appear again on February 13.
