Man who committed assault in Derry to be sentenced in Belfast

A man will be sentenced in Belfast on January 16 after he admitted a charge of assault and one of disorderly behaviour in the Strand Road area of Derry. 

Emad Yauness (33) of no fixed abode appeared at Derry Magistrates' Court by Sightlink admitted the offences which occurred on January 12.

The court was told that the defendant had also been arrested on the foot of two warrants for an assault and a theft which occurred in January and February last year.

The case was adjourned to Laganside for sentencing for all matters on January 16 and Yauness was remanded in custody.
