Derry Magistrate's Court
A woman has been jailed for a series of offences, including a number of assaults, assaults on police, disorderly behavior, criminal damage and theft.
Hannah Duddy (29) of Rockmills in Derry appeared at Derry Magistrates Court charged with the offences that occurred between March and October this year.
The court heard that she had a number of repeat offences, including assault and resisting police. She was also charged with stealing from a shop along with two males that she tried to claim had paid for the stolen items.
As well as this, she was charged with assaulting a female staff member in Woodleigh House, smashing a window and damaging a computer monitor in the process before kicking police officers who tried to arrest her.
Defence Barrister Sinead Rogan said that all the charges had been accepted at an early stage, telling the court that Duddy was now trying to get help for her addiction issues.
She was sentenced to eight months in custody.
