Derry Magistrates' Court
A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of domestic abuse and assault charges.
Gary Neeson (31) whose address was given as c/o Maghaberry Prison appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court today.
He faces a total of seven charges relating to the same alleged injured party.
Neeson was charged with engaging in a course of behaviour deemed to be abusive between August 1 and August 30, 2022, harassment on dates between August 24 and August 30, 2023, four counts of assault on dates in January and February 2023 as well as a charge of criminal damage in October 2022.
It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.
Neeson said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.
He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on January 24 and remanded in custody.
