GEMX, a leading advocate for fostering talent in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, hosted an interactive roadshow at The Diamond Centre, Claudy on November 7, aimed at inspiring and informing career choices for secondary school pupils.
The roadshow was attended by 300+ pupils from local secondary schools and also a StepUp group from NWRC.
The Interactive Roadshow is a unique platform, bringing together 12 manufacturing and engineering companies, while showcasing innovative teaching areas within NWRC.
This combination creates an immersive experience, enabling students to engage with industry professionals and learn about potential career paths. The event is designed to provide valuable insights, practical knowledge, and hands-on activities to spark curiosity and interest among the next generation.
This dynamic roadshow serves as a shining example of employers’ dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders in manufacturing and engineering.

The event was supported by 14 North West companies including DuPont, The LYCRA Company, FAST Technologies, Seagate and Hunter Apparel . Activities were also be supported by stakeholders such as NWRC and Engineers Ireland.
