Derry's Altnagelvin Hospital
A man, who a court was told has 'a rare psychiatric disorder', will be sentenced in December after he admitted a charge of sexually assaulting a female in Altnagelvin Hospital on January 1 this year.
Christopher Woods (60) of Duke Street in Derry appeared to face one charge of sexual assault.
When the charge was put to him Woods pleaded guilty.
Defence counsel Sean Doherty said there was one medical report on the defendant but his client suffered from a rare psychiatric disorder and he required a separate report.
He said that the defendant could be sentenced on December 2 and he was hopeful that by that time he would have all the evidence he needed.
A pre-sentence report was ordered and the defendant was released on bail until December 2.
