Motorists advised of possible traffic disruption around Derry this weekend

Police in Derry are advising the public and motorists of possible traffic disruption this weekend when a number of planned events are scheduled to take place.

On Friday, September 27 a parade in Magheramason is scheduled to leave from Mason Road at 7.30pm, and proceed along Victoria Road, Victoria Meadows, Victoria Road, Dunnalong Road, Brook Manor, Dunnalong Road, Mason Road, Blackstone Park, finishing in Mason Road for dispersal at 9pm. 

On Saturday, September 28 ARC Fitness Recovery Walk NI takes place at 10am from Ebrington Square, towards North West Transport Hub and onto Duke Street, top deck (city bound) of Craigavon Bridge, onto Carlisle Road, Ferryquay Street, The Diamond, Shipquay Street, Whittaker Street, Foyle Embankment, onto the Peace Bridge into Ebrington Square for dispersal, estimated to be no later than 3pm. 

Also on Saturday, September 28 a parade at 7pm is scheduled to leave from Glendermott Valley Business Park onto Tullyally Road, Stevenson Park, Milltown View, Ardmore Road, Glenshane Road, Millbrook Park, Church Road, Church Brae, Tullyally Road and dispersing at Glendermott Valley Business Park. Dispersal is expected to be 9.30pm.

Motorists should allow extra time for their journeys. Police will be deployed, and on duty to assist with any traffic issues that arise.
