Man returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on series of charges

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of charges.

Wayne Campbell (30) of Hawthorn Terrace in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court.

He was charged with driving while disqualified on February 21 this year. 

He was also charged with stealing goods on the same date. 

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

Campbell said he did want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage. 

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on October 25 and remanded in custody.
