Outgoing SDLP leader Colum Eastwood and the former Fine Gael leader will address the young people and are expected to set out their ambitions for the future of these islands.
The New Ireland Commission was established by Colum Eastwood as a vehicle for new-thinking, ambition and imagination about the future of these islands. The aim, through citizen engagement, is to create an ambitious blueprint of options & possibilities for how we can achieve a sustainable and inclusive New Ireland.
The Foyle MP will stand down as SDLP leader at the party’s annual conference next month and will lead a new phase of the New Ireland Commission’s work.
