Police in Derry are currently at the scene of a security alert in Southway, in the Creggan area of the city.
Cordons are in place.
Officers in attendance are also dealing with ongoing disorder. Masonry, petrol bombs and other items have been thrown resulting in damage to a number of vehicles.
Police are urging the public to avoid the area.
