Waterside Library
Derry's Waterside Library will reopen its doors on Monday, May 20 at 10.00am welcoming customers back into the library following a period of closure for refurbishment.
The works carried out included the installation of a new energy efficient heating system and gas supply, new floor coverings along with the interior decoration throughout the library benefitting from a refresh.
Libraries NI District Manager Carole Devine said: “We are very pleased to welcome customers back to Waterside Library after our recent refurbishment.
"The upgraded heating system, new floor coverings and internal redecoration has enhanced the comfort and aesthetics of the library.
"We can't wait for our regular customers and perhaps some new faces, to come in and see the improvements firsthand and continue enjoying all the free resources, services and events the library has to offer."
Waterside Library is open six days a week including a Saturday and regular events in the library include Rhythm and Rhyme sessions for parents/carers and preschool children, Lego Club, Adult Short Story reading group and drop-in Craft Sessions.
