The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Cllr Patricia Logue, took to the streets of Derry with volunteers on St Patrick’s Day to fundraise for her chosen charities, the Foyle Hospice and The Ryan McBride Foundation.

Mayor Logue thanked all those who helped her fundraise and said a huge thank you to everyone who donated on the day.

“As always, our St Patrick’s Day Spring Carnival brings out hundreds of smiling faces and the city was filled with joy on Saturday afternoon when myself and my amazing squad of volunteers took to the streets with buckets as part of a collection for my chosen charities.

"First of all, I would like to say a huge thank you to my family, friends and party colleagues for volunteering and giving up their time on Sunday to come and help me collect much-needed funds for my charities, the Foyle Hospice and The Ryan McBride Foundation.

"I’d also like to say a massive word of thanks to each and everyone who donated. Your kind donations will go towards the running and development of two brilliant local charities, and help people right across the North West. Thank you very much.”
