Derry PSNI appeal for witnesses with regards an assault injuring a Fire Fighter

REPORT: Vehicle on fire on M1 outside Dundalk

Police in Derry are appealing for witnesses in relation to an assault injuring a Fire Fighter.

The incident took place on the city side of the Craigavon Bridge at around 7.00pm yesterday evening (Friday, 5th January, 2024).

A firework was thrown at emergency services attending the incident, injuring a Fire Fighter.

A police spokesperson said: "If you have photos, videos or dash cam footage, or witnessed the incident, please contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1538 of 05/01/24.
