Derry Court: Two men returned to face drug charges

Man returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on 28 charges

Two men have been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug charges.

Jonathan Glenn (40) of Shipquay Street in Derry and Stephen George Duffy (52) of Laughy Rushy, Convoy in County Donegal appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court today.

Glenn is charged with two counts of possessing cannabis with intent to supply on in August and September 2022 and two charges of possessing drugs on the same dates.

He is also charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis on dates between January 1 and September 10 2022  and possessing criminal property.

Duffy faced two charges of being concerned in the supply of cannabis on dates between January 1 and September 10 2022 and one charge of concealing criminal property.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.

Neither man said they wanted to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.

Both men were returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on July 6 with Duffy on bail and Glenn in custody.
