Derry Court: Adjournment in case of breach of Counter Terrorism legislation

A man has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court today charged with two breaches of the Counter Terrorism legislation.

Thomas Ashe Mellon (47) of Rathmore Road in Derry appeared charged with failing to notify police about his use of a motor vehicle on December 9 2022.

He was also charged with failing to notify police about a telephone number on February 20 2023.

A police officer connected the accused to the charges.

Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott said that his client was contesting the charges and asked for an adjournment.

The case will be mentioned again on July 5.
