Derry Court: Returned for trial on criminal property charges

Man returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on 28 charges

A man has been returned for trial to Dungannon Crown Court on a series of charges relating to acquiring and concealing criminal property.

Trevor Gannon (47) of Ashleigh Court in Castlederg appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court today.

He was charged with entering into an arrangement to acquire criminal property on dates between September 10 2018 and January 16 2020.

He was also charged with two counts of concealing criminal property on the same dates and one charge of possessing criminal property namely cash.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

Gannon said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage. 

He was returned for trial to Dungannon Crown Court on a date next month and released on bail.
