St. Eugene’s Primary and Nursery School, Derry has announced plans for the development of the school’s two playgrounds on Tuesday afternoon last.
The work will involve the installation of new safety-surfaced areas for the pupils in the Junior Site, Senior Site and Nursery.
This will include creative fun and safe play zones which are age-appropriate, in which all the children of St Eugene’s can experience physical and social play, role play, adventure play and their imaginations will be enriched through the themed concepts and features such as a jungle climber, log walk, clatter bridge, wobble board, caterpillar tunnel, mud kitchen, to name just a few.
The work will be carried out over the summer holidays in time for the new term in September. A local benefactor has donated the monies for the venture.
