Derry's Foyleside Shopping Centre placed on the market

Derry's major shopping centre Foyleside has been put on sale with Estate agency Savills.

Anchor tenants of the centre are Frasers, Marks & Spencer and Dunnes Stores.

With more than 98% let, Foyleside boasts an exceptional range of retailers including Next, H&M, Boots, Holland & Barrett, Monsoon, Waterstones, DV8 and River Island to name a few.

Annual rental income is thought to be more than £4m and it is on the market for just over £34m.

Developed in the early 1990s and officially opened in 1995, over the years the centre has provided an excellent retail experience and acts as the dominant prime retailing destination in the city.

Savills also announced the sale of Forestside Shopping Centre in South Belfast with offers of over £37m.

The centres were previously put up for sale in 2012 and were bought by London-based investment firm Kildare Partners for a reported £135m.

Ben Turtle, the head of Savills Northern Ireland, said: "These sales represent a rare opportunity for investors to acquire 100% prime and dominant retail schemes that consistently outperform from an occupational and consumer perspective.

"We have no doubt they'll be well received in the market."
