Derry Magistrate's Court was told today that a preliminary enquiry involving a local man charged with explosive offences should be in a position to proceed on June 21.
Kieran McCool (54) of Ballymagowan Gardens in Derry is charged with a total of eight offences including several charges of possessing explosives with intent to endanger life.
He is also charged with possessing articles for use in terrorism and preparing terrorist acts.
All of the charges relate to dates between December 30 2015 and April 20 2021.
At today's sitting of the local Magistrate's Court a defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott said that a date had been fixed for June 21 for a PE in this matter and he was hopeful that could be met.
A prosecution barrister said that this was 'a voluminous case' but added the directing officer was 'optimistic' the date of June 21 would be met.
McCool is currently on bail.
