Derry Court: Man released on bail on condition he stay out of Carnhill

A man has been released on bail at Derry Magistrate's Court on condition he stay out of the Carnhill area of the city.

Michael McMahon (31) of Clon Elagh in Derry appeared charged with assaulting a female, disorderly behaviour, resisting police, the theft of a phone, a bank card and assault on police.

All of the offences were said to have occurred on February 14.

A police officer connected the accused to the charges and told the court that police were agreeing to bail subject to conditions.

McMahon was released on bail on condition he did not enter Carnhill and he has no contact with the alleged victim in the case.

He will appear again on March 9.
